My goal is to provide memorable, high quality images that resonate deeply with you. My approach is highly collaborative, and I am not happy until you are as well.

  • Pet Portraiture– my signature work. A unique approach to creating  images of people with their beloved pet, from horses to hedgehogs.  And, of course, cats and dogs. These commissioned works of art are intimate, personal, quirky, and  memorable. A unique gift to yourself, or to give that someone who has everything.
  • Formal Portraiture – a contemporary approach to a classic art form.  Whether to memorialize a momentous occasion, a significant other, a special relationship, sessions are in the comfort of your home, or at a location of your choice. Anything is possible. We will create an fine art image you will be proud to display in a place of prominence.

“The legal purpose of a model release is to record that the model has consented to be photographed and to allow those photographs to be published. The main reason consent is required is because it is a tort to use a person’s image without their permission to promote a commercial product or service(e.g., advertising).”

Please read this excellent article about the importance of signing a model release.

I approach architectural photography as I would any portrait session. Every place has a story, a salient interesting quality, a flaw which needs to be minimized. Every subject looks better from one angle than another, or in different light, and it is my job to find the best angle, and the best time of day to capture the subject’s best qualities.

Equipment: From the camera and lenses, to filters and lighting, everything is chosen to maximize the beauty and special features of your property. We will discuss the lighting options available as they apply to your specific property, including available and ambient light, lighting packages, and exterior beauty lighting. We will discuss staging needs, if any, and other items that will ensure your property is shown at its best. This is the primary purpose of a pre-shoot visit to the property.  I will also spend time exploring the property and selecting the best angles and areas to feature.  This saves time on the day of the shoot, and allows for maximum coverage at the best possible price.

Fee: No two assignments are alike! Fees can be based on a full day rate, half day rate, or even an hourly rate, but I will not be able to quote you a fee until I know the full scope of the work. The best way for me to give you a fair price is to meet at the subject location in advance, which will also help me determine the best time of day to schedule the shoot.  There is no charge for this visit as it allows me to plan in advance and provide you with the best photographic coverage at the best possible price.  A day’s shoot is approximately eight hours, with as much quality coverage as possible during that time. All final images are included in my quote, as are digital enhancements and retouching, which can take up to 7 days. Images are high resolution, delivered to you electronically via a Dropbox.  To get started, give me a call or e-mail to best choose how to proceed.   I have a passion for pleasing my clients, whose testimonials you can read here.  I believe you’ll enjoy working with me and hope to hear from you soon

Occasionally, when time permits, I like to offer my photographic services to charitable organizations. It can be for events, for fundraising purposes (such as an item for a silent auction), and even more creative projects such as calendars.
