The legal purpose of a model release is to record that the model has consented to be photographed and to allow those photographs to be published. The main reason consent is required is because it is a tort to use a person’s image without their permission to promote a commercial product or service (e.g., advertising).

This excellent article explains the importance of signing a model release.

I approach architectural photography as I would a portrait session. Every place has a story, a salient interesting quality, a flaw which needs to be minimized. Every subject looks better from one angle than another, or in different light, and it is my job to find the best angle, and the best time of day to capture the subject’s best qualities.

Equipment: I use full-frame cameras and a complement of lenses from the Nikon system. Normally, I shoot with available (natural) light, but also offer lighting options, including interior and/or exterior beauty lighting; and staging needs, if any. If there are special requirements, a pre-shoot visit to the property is recommended at no extra charge.

Fee: No two assignments are alike! Fees are based on a full day, half day, or even an hourly rate, which cannot be determined until I know the full scope of the work. Time of day (for best light) or day of the week (for access, vacancy, etc.) are taken into consideration.

A full day is 10 hours, half day is 5 hours – inclusive of travel time. Quoted rates are all-inclusive: there are no hidden fees such as usage fees, editing fees, licensing fees, etc. All final images are included in my quote, as are digital enhancements and retouching, which can take up to 7 days. Images are high resolution, delivered to you electronically via a Dropbox.

To get started, give me a call or send me an e-mail. I have a passion for pleasing my clients, whose testimonials you can read here. I believe you’ll enjoy working with me and hope to hear from you soon

Occasionally, when time permits, I offer my photographic services to charitable organizations. It can be for events, for fundraising purposes (such as an item for a silent auction), and even more creative projects such as calendars.

Fee: Please contact to discuss reduced or waived rates.
