One afternoon I went with my sweetie to pick up his truck from servicing. While waiting in line for the cashier, I noticed she was a spectacular, natural beauty. This was several years before I was a “professional” photographer, but I vowed then and there that if I ever became one, that I would ask her to model for me. When she finally waited on us, I asked her if she modeled, to which she just laughed dismissively.
Fast forward those several years, and in developing my pet portraiture, I remembered this woman. I actually drove to the dealership, hoping she still worked there (she did!!), introduced myself, and handed her my card, telling her my little story about her. I told her to check out my work and contact me if she was interested. And fortunately, she said yes. This was the first time I had ever approached a total stranger to pose for me.
Unfortunately, Holly did not own any sort of pet, so we borrowed the Grey Congo from my make-up artist and friend, Sugano. Turns out that both Holly and Stewarte recite Shakespeare.
